MILAN, Italy, November 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The Board of Directors of Buongiorno S.P.A. BNG, a leading multinational in digital entertainment, approved today the figures for Q3 2006, drafted in accordance with the international accounting standards (IAS/IFRS).
Value of Production for Q3 2006 grew by 32% compared to the same period of 2005, thus increasing from Euro 35.9 million to Euro 47.4 million. In the first nine months, a 55% increase was posted compared to the first nine months of 2005 (from Euro 94.8 million to Euro 146.6 million).
Core business revenues for Q3 (Euro 47 million) increased 33% compared to Q3 2005 (Euro 35.2 million); for the first nine months of the year growth was 56%, thus increasing from Euro 93.1 million to Euro 145.3 million. The increase in revenues was mainly driven by "organic" business growth and, to a lesser extent, by acquisitions made at the end of the third quarter of 2005 (specifically Tutch and Freever) and in late August 2006 (Rocket Mobile Inc.).
The increase in revenues was led by the United States where Q3 revenues more than doubled from Euro 5.1 million in 2005 to Euro 12.8 million in 2006. Growth was also sustained in Central Europe (+21%), Northern Europe (+23%), and the Iberian Peninsula and South America (+5%).
The most significant share of core business revenues was represented by revenues from Consumer Services, that grew 39% compared to the same period in 2005, rising from around Euro 32 million to Euro 44.4 million, and thus accounting for 94% of total revenues in Q3 2006.
Within the Consumer Services, in Q3 2006, about 386 million digital objects were delivered, up from 150 million in the same period of 2005. In the first nine months, deliveries amounted to over 1 billion, as against 385.9 million in 2005.
Industrial Added Value (IAV) in Q3 therefore was Euro 20 million, up 67% over Q3 2005, whereas in the first nine months it amounted to Euro 56 million, up 60% compared to the same period of the prior year.
Consolidated Gross Operating Margin (GOM/EBITDA) in the third quarter of 2006 was positive at approximately Euro 6.5 million, more than double compared to Q3 2005 (Euro 3 million); the ratio of GOM to revenues went from 8.5% to 13.9%.
