IRVINE, Calif., Aug. 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Assured Pharmacy, Inc. APHY today announced that it has signed a lease for its eighth specialty retail pharmacy. The new site will be located in California's South Bay area in the city of Lomita, between Torrance and Long Beach. Assured Pharmacy, Inc. is a specialty pharmacy providing customized services for patients with chronic pain and other long-term care conditions.

The new location was selected for its concentration of physicians treating large numbers of chronic pain patients and to further Assured Pharmacy's coverage of the densely populated Southern California region between Los Angeles and San Diego. This new retail pharmacy expands Assured Pharmacy's Southern California footprint, as it already has operating retail pharmacies in Riverside and Santa Ana.

"The fast-growing Southern California region is fertile ground for Assured Pharmacy's services," stated Robert DelVecchio, CEO of Assured Pharmacy. "Our current Southern California locations in Santa Ana and Riverside are expected to achieve their revenue targets on an annualized basis by year-end, which we project to be $5 million in annual sales per location. Assured Pharmacy plans to sign leases for two more retail pharmacies in 2007, which would bring the total of new pharmacies in 2007 to five. The recently-announced Las Vegas location is scheduled to open in mid-September. The Company is currently scouting locations for another pharmacy in the Las Vegas area and a second pharmacy in Seattle. With two additional signings, Assured will have doubled its 2006 total of five retail pharmacies by year-end 2007.
